LAWTON – The Cameron baseball team has a packed weekend for their final Lone Star Conference series of the spring, hosting Texas A&M International for four games at McCord Field.

The Aggies close out the 2022 season by welcoming the Dustdevils to town while also hosting two promotional events. Friday night, CU is welcoming all little league teams/players and families for "Future Aggie Night". Then for Saturday's doubleheader Aggie baseball will have their Senior Day between games.Â

Cameron enters the final weekend of the regular season with a 13-31 overall record and a 13-29 conference mark. Their series loss to top-25 ranked Angelo State last weekend knocked them out of contention for the last spot in the league tournament.Â

At the plate, the Aggies are hitting .270 with 5.4 runs scored per game and 109 extra-base hits.
Julian Macias has been on fire since taking over in the leadoff spot, as he leads the team with a .321 average to go along with 34 runs scored and 17 RBI.
Beau Williams is batting .307 with 35 runs scored, 29 RBI, and a team-high 14 doubles.
Jayce Clem had seven hits against ASU last weekend and is hitting .300 this season with 22 RBI and 25 runs scored.
Jordan Harrison-Dudley is the big power threat in the lineup with a .299 average, nine home runs, and 41 RBI.Â

The top-5 ERA leaders on the team have been solid for the Aggies all season.
Tyler Cornett leads CU with 62 strikeouts and holds opposing hitters to a .230 average.
Kalen Haynes leads the team with a .207 opposing batting average and
Marcos Feria has 46 strikeouts in 46 innings of work.
Clayton McClenan has gone a team-high 53.1 innings and is 3-4 on the mound.Â

Texas A&M International is still fighting for the eighth spot in the LSC Tournament with a 17-27 conference record and a 17-29 overall record; they are chasing St. Mary's, who is 18-26 in LSC games. They got themselves into the thick of it with a 4-game sweep of Eastern New Mexico last weekend.Â

The Dustdevils are hitting .291 with 5.8 runs scored per game and 111 extra-base hits. Four players who qualify in PA/G are hitting over .300. Matt Kissamis leads the way with a .333 average, six homers, and 33 RBI while Ronnie Bailey hits .333 as well with 36 runs scored, four homers, and 21 RBI.Â

On the mound, TAMIU has a team-ERA of 7.45 and a .319 batting average against. Christopher Sauceda has an ERA under five with 52 K's in 55.1 innings of work. Jan Cabrera has a team-high 54 strikeouts in 55 innings on the hill.Â

The weekend schedule is set for a 6:30 p.m. start time on Friday night and then the twin bill on Saturday will begin with game one at 3 p.m. The final series this year at McCord Field will wrap up on Sunday at 1 p.m. All four games will be streamed via the Lone Star Conference Digital Network.Â
