LAWTON, Okla. - Cameron Baseball announces their 2025 schedule.Â
In an interview, Head Coach,
Kyle Williams, talked about the season opener and how the roster has more depth this year than previous years. "Our schedule opens up January 31st at Texas A&M International which will be a difficult test to start out as they finished 6th last year in the conference. Playing 48 conference games isn't easy but I think we're better suited this year roster wise than we have been in years past, especially with the depth of our pitching staff. For a group of returners that found their groove late last year and played playoff caliber baseball for the last month going 9-7 over their last 4 LSC weekends, they're hungry to get into the spring and prove the work they put in this fall with the new guys can lead to doing it for a whole season."
Looking into the teams offensive depth and their future success, Coach Williams spoke on returners and new players to look out for this season. "We're excited about the overall athleticism of our hitters.
Lance Barnett is a returning All-LSC performer and is joined by
Kody Bigford,
Donovan Borg, and
Gabe Clyden as guys who logged a lot of starts last year and look to have big roles this year as well. Newcomers
Diego Villarreal,
Keagan Solomon,
Zane Roos,
Wyatt Cunningham and
Cooper Weatherly headline a deep offensive group that has the ability to put up runs in bunches consistently."
Coach Williams has revamped the pitching staff this year and looks to the bullpen for a promising season. "Like I said earlier our pitching staff's depth is the most exciting part about our new group. We lost a big amount of our production on the mound last year but I feel like we upgraded in most spots.
Elijah Tolsma and
Victor A. Munoz were the two guys who had significant innings last year that stood out this fall. They'll lead a talented group of new faces that has a lot of options including
Aiden Duggan,
Ryken Brandsma,
Jordan Hodges,
Hunter Davis,
Reese Milam and
Cooper Weatherly."
The games for the Aggies can be watched on FloSports as well as Live Stats. Coach Williams and the team look forward to seeing fans at their home opener on February 7th!Â
