LAWTON, Oklahoma – Cameron University Director of Athletics
Lou Izzi has announced that head baseball coach Kyle Williams will not return next season.
"We appreciate Kyle's service to Cameron University and his commitment to our student-athletes, both as an assistant and a head coach," said Izzi. "Unfortunately, the competitive success of our baseball team on the field during Kyle's tenure has not met our expectations. A change in leadership is necessary to provide a championship-caliber experience to our student-athletes and to deliver a highly competitive NCAA Division II baseball program that will excite our current and prospective students, our alumni, and our community."
Williams led the Cameron baseball program for six seasons, compiling a 71-184 record and a 70-173 mark in Lone Star Conference play. Williams guided the baseball team to a record
of 13-33 and an 11
th place finish in the Lone Star Conference in the 2025 season. Williams was previously an assistant coach at Cameron during the 2019 season.
A search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
