Box Score 2 LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University baseball split their games on Friday afternoon 5-0 and 8-4 against Northwestern Missouri State at McCord Field.
With the split on Friday the Aggies remained at .500 with four wins and four losses.
Cameron took advantage of four Bearcat errors and led from start to finish in game one.
Tobin Mateychick scored a run in the first off of a passed ball. In the second inning the Ags added to their total after a pair of NWMS errors to make it a 3-0 CU lead.
The Aggies would get another unearned run before
Garrett Schaede smashed a single into left field to score
Codey McElroy in from third to make it a 5-0 game.
Drew Reidt (2-1) held the Bearcats to one hit and fanned four batters in six innings of work.
Jacob Winters tossed a scoreless seventh to complete the one hitter.
Kas Sanders went 2 for 3 with five assists at second base in the CU win.
In the nightcap the Bearcats put up five runs in the first three innings to take down the Aggies 8-4.
Cameron scored a run in the bottom of the third off of a ground ball and RBI singles from
Jordan Climpson and
Garrett Schaede got CU within five 8-3.
After a scoreless fifth the Bearcats added a pair in the sixth and the Aggies scored off of a Mateychick sacrifice for the final run of the game to fall 8-4.
Brandon Raidy went 2 for 3 and the Aggies had four players with a RBI.
Cameron will play two more games on Saturday against Northwest Missouri State starting at noon.
