SCOUTING THE OPPOSITIONLike the Aggies on Tuesday night, Texas A&M-Kingsville was also in action hosting No. 18 St. Edward's. The Javelinas gave up a season high 14 runs in the one-sided contest with the game being halted in the seventh inning trailing by 13 in non-conference contest. Within the LSC, TAMUK holds a one game lead in the standings at 14-6 over Angelo State and West Texas A&M. TAMUK is batting .307 when facing a LSC program with Christian Caudle leading his team with a .362 average. On the base-paths TAMUK has stolen 33 bags with Zach Smith takings nine on 11 chances. TAMUK starter Preston Plovanich has been nearly lights out in LSC play with a 0.64 era and holding batters to a .182 average at the plate; in his last 21 2/3 innings he has only given up one unearned run.

On Tuesday, the Aggies traveled to Lubbock Christian for a quick turnaround game following a three-of-four series win over Eastern New Mexico during the weekend. The Aggies powered past No. 22 Lubbock Christian 14-10 in non-conference action, recording 12 hits on the game with two doubles and two home runs. The Aggies continue to lead the conference with a .312 batting average.
