Cameron Athletics Hall of Fame
Darrell Jones was a pitcher for the Aggie baseball team from 1969-1972. He was drafted by the Houston Astros out of high school but instead pitched three years for CU. Jones was a strikeout pitcher, throwing 186 strikes in 172.2 innings. Jones pitched for three State Championship Teams with the Lawton Pepsi's, the local semi-pro summer team. He played under Coach Cecil Powell. Now Jones is the owner of Jones Seed Co. in Lawton, Okla. and is a big supporter of Cameron Athletics.
