For over 40 years, Dennis and Erika Mooreenthusiastically supported Cameron teams through fellowship, volunteer tutoring, financial support, and attendance at home and away games.
As very loyal supporters, Dennis and Erika genuinely displayed a true dedication, commitment, and complete love for the University, the Athletics program, and our students and athletes.
As former Cameron Athletic Director and Men’s Basketball Coach Bill Carter (1985-89) said, “No one in the Lawton community deserves this honor more than Dennis and Erika.”
And former Cameron Men’s Basketball Coach Nate Gamet(2008-16), who is now Director of Athletics at North Central Missouri College, - states, “Dennis and Erika Moore were two of the best people he ever met at Cameron. They had a profound impact on him personally, his family, and his teams. Their faith, trust and belief never waivered, and they appreciated the players and coaches’ effort no matter what.”
In July of 2023, Dennis passed away at the age of 90. He served our country for 27 years in the Unites States Army and received many awards and medals while in the military. He also received four degrees from Cameron University in History and Geology.
