In 1964, he led the Cameron football team to an undefeated season and a number one ranking, where they lost in the Junior Rose Bowl for the National Championship. He was recognized this year by being awarded the Oklahoma Sports Headliner Award. Jensen won the Boot Hill Bowl in 1970, Cowboy Bowl in 1971 and in 1983 was awarded the Oklahoma Baseball Leadership Award. He posted a 118-62-10 record and a .621 win percentage while coaching at Cameron.
