Cameron University Athletics

Pollan played basketball from 1958-60 for Hall of Fame Coach Ted Owens. A Lawton High graduate, he earned All American honors in 1960, when he averaged 14.6 points per game and the team finished third in the National Tournament, where he scored 81 points in four games. Pollan’s freshman year CU also qualified for the National Tournament and finished in sixth place. He continued his basketball career to the University of Houston. Pollan returned to Lawton and coached until 1971, serving five years as the Head Coach at Eisenhower High School.
