Cameron Athletics Hall of Fame
Werden "Whick" Parrack played basketball and football and ran track for CU from 1928-1931. He lettered in all three sports for three consecutive years, giving him nine varsity letters. Parrack became a two-handed set shot specialist and top defensive player, and he helped lead Cameron to several winning seasons and the Oklahoma Junior College Championships in 1931. He went on to become a nationally-recognized collegiate and semi-pro basketball player (as there was no NBA at the time), alongside his best friend and fellow Class of 2010 inductee, Ralph "Ty" Hertzler. As a semi-pro basketball player, he won awards such as Best Forward East of the Mississippi River.
