Cameron Athletics Hall of Fame
In 2012, Garner was named an All-American and the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year after a season where he averaged 18.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and totaled 35 steals and 46 assists. He helped lead his team to semifinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament in his final year on campus. Garner finished his career with 1,264 points over 80 games and was selected to the NCAA Division II All-Star Game after his senior campaign. He then signed a professional contract to play in Brazil and was selected to an all-star team in 2015 that played a series of exhibitions against players from the Chinese Basketball Association; he was joined by former coach Nate Gamet and former teammate Craig Foster.
